134!

134 FREAKIN LAYERS AND 9 HOURS, MAN! THAT'S HOW MUCH EFFORT I PUT INTO THIS! I TOLD YOU! I WAS NOWHERE NEAR BEING DONE EARLIER! xDDD

ANYWAY i might of made the snow a bit too bright, but its looks pretty like that =u=
and apparently this picture turned out to be more of a background practice rather than just a pic :'D

look at all dat glistening snow! :'D

and forget the whole, "its night time and those lights aren't on, wtf" thing cause i changed the time of day after i finished the rest of the shading and i wasnt about to change those hours of painstaking work just so i can make those lights seem on :XD:

and i have no idea why they went out for a walk in the snow at night, their just like that :'D

last year i got snow and i slipped on my butt right in front of my house =u=''
........
JAKIE GET CHUR HEAD OUTTA DAT SNOW! URE GUNNA GET SICK! :ohnoes:
my accident on that was that his whole face turned blue when i changed the shading color :XD:

A lot of people draw their characters walking around around Christmas/Holiday time, this is not a new concept or an original idea. The snow looks like a giant white blob and does not have very much definition. They could be blended a bit better. The tops of the trees also do not have very much definition. If there is really as much snow as you say it is then the bench and the grass underneath should be covered for the most part. The shadows in the snow are pretty inconsistent.

The perspective is also pretty iffy. I cannot tell how close or far away the character who is popping out of the snow is. It appears that said character just popped out of the snow, ergo there should be more of a sense of movement in the piece. The guy who is holding the pregnant character's arm just disappears. If his arm is around her waist, hips or shoulders it should reappear. Also, there is not solid line between them. I understand that your style is cartoon-y and takes liberty with anatomy, however the pregnant characters stomach works in more of a slope. There seems to be no divide between her rib cage and her stomach.

On a positive note, I like the way this piece flows. The one thing that would make the piece flow better is the light post. The light post divides the piece and is in almost the center. When you create a scene similar to this one you want the eye to move across the piece and the light post disrupts it.
